DESIGN

These one-bedroom, one-bath townhomes are designed by Far + Dang, whose multidisciplinary work focuses on transforming intangible ideas into spatial reality and physical form. Their style translates to sophisticated, open-concept homes that are both contemporary and comfortable, utilizing natural light and the surrounding landscape to create livable spaces at an accessible price point.

ART

With West Dallas counting itself home to some of the city’s most well-known art galleries, including Cluley Projects, 500X Gallery, Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, and Ex Ovo, it’s no wonder that the neighborhood has long been a hub for both emerging and established artists. The art crowd has long been lured in by some of Dallas’ most well respected artists, such as painter Francene Christianson, installation sculptor Andrew F. Scott, and multidisciplinary artist Javier Bohorquez. 707 aims to continue the artful tradition, building our townhouses around the concept of ever-revolving public art.

SWEETPASS SCULPTURE PARK

We’ve collaborated with artists Tamara Johnson and Trey Burns of Sweet Pass Sculpture Park (SPSP) to program 707’s green spaces with outdoor sculptures. Each year, 707 and SPSP will put out an open call for local artists to submit their outdoor projects to the HOA board, who will vote on a selection of pieces to be featured in our own Fabrication Yard. This concept offers residents the unique opportunity to help curate a show in their own backyards.

In addition, a colorful, large form mural looks out onto Commerce Street, and its “shadow” will look into the interior of the property, adding to the curb appeal of the neighborhood. Line-drawings by local artists, created in collaboration with artists Michael McPherson and Mario J, will add creativity to the balconies, bringing art into every home.

IN JUST A FEW STEPS

707 is located in the heart of West Dallas, amongst some of the city’s must-see destinations. Just steps away sits the iconic Charles Dilbeck-designed Belmont Hotel; a short walk will take you to Sylvan Thirty and its crown jewel, the amazing family owned and operated grocery store Cox Farms; and after a quick bike ride, you’ll arrive at the many boutiques, restaurants and bars that Trinity Groves and Bishop Arts have to offer. For the active and outdoorsy, you’re just minutes away from Trinity River Trails, Coombs Creek Trail and some of the city’s best bike lanes. West Dallas is home to the most small, locally owned and unique businesses in the city, making it a truly one-of-a-kind neighborhood where creativity is always celebrated.
